Leaders Advancing and Helping Communities (LAHC) is a nonprofit located in Dearborn that services all of Wayne County. I wanted to offer your students the opportunity to join our Youth Leadership Bridge to College (YLBC) winter cohort. It is an eleven-session series that offers students:
o Career Counseling
o Resume, Writing, and Public Speaking Workshops
o Online Etiquette and Financial Literacy Training
o Information on Post-Secondary Education (trades vs. college/university)
o Community Service Opportunities (20 plus hours)
o A $25 Amazon Gift card (with appropriate attendance)
Our start date is dependent on the flow of registrations; however, sessions will take place Wednesday, from 4:00-6:00 pm at LAHC (5275 Kenilworth- Dearborn, MI. 48126). Moreover, students can get more information or register at https://lahc.org/ylbtcp/. We can also come and promote the program at your school; for example, during lunchtime, at Key Club, National Honors Society (NHS), or Student Council meetings.
