Update from DSHINES

Our Physical Ed/Healthy Living partnership with DSHINES is sharing a resource to help keep your family active and healthy, please see their message below:

We hope this reaches you healthy and well during this challenging and unpredictable time. As part of our DSHINES partnership, you know that we aim to provide schools with programming that helps improve the health and wellbeing of students. We’re committed to this mission, now more than ever.

We also know that your faculty are being asked to teach in ways that they haven’t before, and your school’s parents are seeking out resources to continue their children’s educational advancement at home.  This is where we can help!  We want to continue to work with you to ensure that every family has access to high-quality physical activity and nutrition resources that they can use right in their homes.

Our team of expert teachers, researchers, and programming staff have pulled together lots of resources to provide you with daily healthy eating and physical activity lesson plans that children and their families can do at home. On Sunday of each week, we’ll send you an email with links to the weekly activities which we have developed at both the Elementary and Middle School level. Also, note we have translated versions that are available for both Elementary and Middle School in an additional link. These lessons will also be available for teachers and parents through our social media feeds, where students can also share their healthy eating and physical activity challenges.
