**Updated: Please see the suggested reading list for our students. During the summer, incoming middle school students are expected to read three to five chapter books at their reading level. Upon returning to school in the fall, each student will write a brief summary of each book and have a book talk. The rubric for the summary and the book talk will be given to each student via district email and a hard copy placed along with the end of the year report card.
